Enter and come out of the opposite side, but that's not all in this maze

How many ways to go?

It's a very simple maze. You may enter through any opening and go out also through any exit.

Only one restriction this time

  1. While on your way you must not retrace your path.

Three questions

  1. Entry and exit should be from opposite sides. How many ways?
  2. Along how many paths can you walk in and out of the maze?
  3. What is the shortest path?

You may spend some time in forming more questions on the maze. You know,

Solving the maze is not so important, looking at the problem from all angles is more important.

If you look at a problem from all angles, and do this on various problems, many times, your ability to think new goes on increasing, and this ability is one of the more important problem solving skills.

We have another name for this problem solving skill enhancement technique - the many ways technique.

By nature, when we face a problem, not only during the solving process we look automatically at every aspect of the problem, but even after its solution we try to find other solutions. In short, practicing many ways technique has become our habit.

In many of our more detailed problem solving posts here, we have mentioned this technique, but only one complete post is devoted to this very important problem solving skill enhancement technique. If you like you may refer to it here.

The other skill that you use in any of the problems that you solve is the pattern recognition skill, and you use it by pattern recognition techniques.

Without ability to detect and use of effective patterns no problem can be solved.

In any case, enjoy, this maze is really simple.
